Makerere University College of Computing and Information Science ushered in a new college guild council (CGG).

The new CGC led by Ojune Emmanuel as the new chairperson took oath on June 25th and officially commenced its term. The swearing-in ceremony also doubled as the handover at which the old leaders handed over instruments of power to the new CGC.

Ojune will be deputised by Nangendo Shadiah while Nansamba Kuluthum is the CGC’s new speaker.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ojune expressed his disappointment in the College administrators and former leaders that failed to turn up for the event. He then urged the new leaders to work with him to lift the College to greater heights.

Mooli Brian, the outgoing chairperson urged the new leaders to work as a team and always follow protocol while they execute their duties.
