Makerere University has officially confirmed the dates for its 76th Graduation Ceremony, which will take place over four days from Tuesday, February 24, 2026, to Friday, February 27, 2026.
In a notice issued by the university, management informed the general public, graduands, parents, guardians, and stakeholders that the ceremony will be conducted as scheduled, marking another major milestone in the institution’s long-standing tradition of academic excellence.
The university noted that detailed information regarding the graduation programme—including daily schedules, college-specific sessions, and standard operating procedures for participants—will be communicated officially in due course.
Makerere University, Uganda’s oldest and most prestigious institution of higher learning, holds graduation ceremonies twice a year, celebrating the academic achievements of thousands of students across its colleges and schools.
Graduands and the public have been advised to await further official communication from the university regarding preparations and participation guidelines for the 76th graduation ceremony.
