Makerere University has announced an extension of the deadline for students seeking to change their academic programmes or courses for the 2024/2025 academic year.
Originally scheduled to close on Friday, August 9, 2024, the deadline has now been pushed to Friday, August 16, 2024, giving students additional time to make necessary adjustments.
Students who wish to change their programmes or subjects must submit their applications online through the university’s portal.
To apply, students are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of UGX 6,000, along with any applicable bank charges.
The university administration has emphasized that all changes must be authorized through the proper channels. Unauthorized changes could lead to severe consequences, including the possibility of discontinuation from the university.
Once changes are approved, students will be notified through official letters, and they must complete and return acceptance forms to the Undergraduate Admissions and Records Office, as well as to both their former and new Colleges/Schools.
