It will be recalled that Makerere University had initially, brought this particular semester (Semester II, Academic Year 2020/2021) officially to a close on Saturday 15th January 2022.
However, many of the students at the University had not yet enrolled and registered for this recently concluded semester owing to challenges associated with the migration of student data from the old system (AIMS), to the new system (ACMIS). It is in that light that the Academic Registrar of the University, Mr. Alfred Masikye Namoah, has informed the entire student community that the university management has resolved to extend the semester to the 22nd January 2022 to enable students that hadn’t enrolled and registered to do so.
It has been categorically noted that the extension applies between 16th January to 22nd January 2022 and that whoever fails to enroll and register within this window, he/she will have to engage their College Registrar directly.
