“Life is like a flower, you shine today and fall tomorrow” lamented one of Shamim’s friends
When you hear such words you know the angel of death visited some soul. Death has robbed friends and family of the most and ever joyous Shamim Nalubwama.
Shamim had just completed her bachelors in Adult Education at Makerere University and was set to graduate next January.
Shamim always had blood pressure issues even while still at campus. Some of her coursemates say they paved a hard way with the problem until they got done with campus since she was always on medication and sometimes got attacks.
It’s so absurd that last Wednesday, she got an attack while asleep at around 1am and was immediately rushed to Rubaga hospital. Her condition however was beyond the attention offered at Rubaga and was later transferred to Kampala Hospital from where the scan showed internal brain damage that she sustained after banging her head on the floor when she got the attack.
She put up a strong fight for her life until last Saturday night when she couldn’t hold it anymore.
Shamim was laid to rest yesterday.
“Loneliness is like a tough Wild Rose, Shamim you have left me lonely in this world but Iam strong that we will meet again in the world of peace and unending life. Your earthly candle has been blown and the heavenly candle been lit,”
Reads one of the mourning posts from the deceased’s best friends.
RIP Shamim
