Makerere University students’ fraternity is mourning the death of Byamukama Medard, a finalist that was pronounced dead today evening.
Byamukama Medard was a third year visually impaired student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in social work and former resident of Lumumba Hall.
Reports indicate that the deceased had been bedridden for awhile before he breathed his last on Thursday. By the time we compiled this story, the exact cause of death had not yet been disclosed.
Miika Tusiime alias Short Legend, the proprietor of light FM Makerere and friend to the deceased, has eulogized the him as one that has been helping him in each and every thing.
“I have lost a very closer friend of mine.He’s been like my parent at campus, believing in me, helping me and everything a good friend would do with you,” he posted on his Facebook page.
Byamukama’s death comes barely a fortnight after Lumumba Hall lost its former resident Sebastian Batiyo, bring the tally of deaths at Lumumba Hall to two in less than a month.
