The office of the academic registrar Makerere university has officially released the academic calendar for the year 2021/2020 and this constitutes the orientation dates for freshers who have been eagerly waiting to join Makerere.
According to the released calendar, freshers, who have only recently come to learn of their fate in the released admission lists, are expected to report on 29th January 2022 for a 7-day orientation that will end on 4th February of the same year.
The rest of the students are expected to report on 5th February after freshers have been oriented on the dos and don’ts during their stay at the university.
However, what is rather surprisingly, is that students at Makerere will continue to learn through a ‘staggered blended’ system as per the calendar. Freshers will take on the first shift of physical learning as the rest learn through ODEL-E learning facilities such as MUELE.
Freshers will then do their first set of university examinations on 18th April prior to the closure of the semester on 1st May 2022.
