The book titled, “Gender and Socio-Economic Change: Everyday lives of women and men in Uganda”, were delivered by Dr Florence Ebila, a lecturer at Makerere University, to the Lira University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Jasper Ogwal Okeng at his office on Monday, 15th August 2022.

Dr Ebila says that the books were donated by the Associate Prof.Consolata Kabonesa, the Principal Investigator, SIDA Gender Mainstreaming Project, 2015/2022.

In a letter to the VC, Lira University, Assoc. Prof. Kabonesa says the book was published under SIDA Phase 4 funding and contributes to community development, work and everyday lives, post conflict and gender-based violence and mainstreaming gender in policy response.

Lira University Vice Chancellor,, Prof. Ogwal Okeng lauded the management of SIDA Project mainstreaming Project, Makerere University, for giving Lira University the books. “This kind of support will boost our efforts to ensure a steady growth of the young University.
