The beginning of the first semester for the academic year 2022/2023 started with running battles between the University Management led by Prof Barnabas Nawangwe and the guild leadership of Shamim Nambasa and her Ministers like Hon. Bbosa Price, the GRC of Nkrumah Hall.
According to a section of Makerere University students, Bbosa’s suspension from the university reportedly resulted into a deal between the Administration and Shamim Nambasa’s government. Some students claim that the leaders named their price in exchange for silence.
A lot of questions have risen ever since Hon. Bbosa Price whose suspension was revoked and Nambasa herself went on Makerere University-sponsored trips in the middle of the struggle. Students are wondering whether the Nambasa government sold out the struggle or they negotiated a good deal for the students.
All that aside before the dust could settle, the entire Guild House went on a trip to Tanzania courtesy of the Senate Building, according to reports. The most immediate question is whether this was a reward for deceiving students and hoodwinking them to give up the struggle after attempting to put up a spirited fight.
“Do Shamim and Hon Bbosa Price deserve any other chance after them telling the public a naked lie of vaccinating the junta with wewe only for them to be vaccinated with foreign trips?” One student wondered.

Lumumba Hall residents continue counting losses after their own Ssebuganda aka Ssebzo, a third-year medical student lost his hand to a teargas canister explosion. This was as a result of the Police invasion into the university following a strike declared by guild leaders.
The student community is still wondering whether the Makerere University students leadership is against them or out there ready to use and dump them one more time.
