87TH GUILD PRESIDENT ELECT Shamim Nambassa (red beret)

Makerere university held guild elections in the nearby past and elected NUP’s Nambassa Shamim as the 87th guild president in a heated race that saw FDC’s Obeid Kamulegeya come second.

Like the norm is, the guild president is expected to appoint cabinet ministers with whom to work during her reign in office. Howbeit, the task has and still is hard-pressing for Makerere university’s newly elected guild president who promised to ‘vaccinate the junta with wewe’.

Nambassa Shamim who officially took oath on 27th November has been facing quite a number of criticism from the student’s fraternity over the cat of a ‘fake’ cabinet list that was released out of the bag by an anonymous identity. Its not clear if that had been the cabinet she intend to present as the latest doesn’t differ any much from the former.

After several nights of burning off the midnight candle as she scratched her head to make the rightful decision amidst pressure from students who wanted her to appoint a one Nelson Ssewanyana who had stepped down from the race to back her up, Nambassa Shamim has officially satisfied their wishes in her official cabinet list.

In a list released 30th November, NUP’s Shamim Nambassa appointed her colleague Nelson Ssewanyana as Vice president to deputize her during her reign in office. Despite all this, Nambassa remains undecided on who to take up the minister of sports slot -a confirmation that Makerere university’s newly elected guild president is still sipping from a cup of salty tea to select a full cabinet.

Below is the full cabinet list.
