Makerere University Hints on Recess Term Allowances for Government Sponsored Students

Makerere University’s Office of the Dean of Students under the leadership of Mrs. Winifred Kabumbuli, has in a letter to all College Principals requested them to provide details of the students that are entitled to allowances for recess term.

This development comes in the wake of disgruntled government students, being led by the Makerere University Government Students Association (MUGOSA) approaching the office of the Dean of Students requesting for their food allowances for the recess term for the Academic Year 2021/2022.

Mrs. Winifred Kabumbuli has noted that her office does not have the information about the categories of the students who will be on recess and hence entitled to these allowances. She has accordingly, requested the college principals to submit this information so that the allowances are processed and disbursed in good time.
