Following the recent release of admission lists for the 2025/2026 academic year, Makerere University has announced an appeal procedure for undergraduate private admission
The Academic Registrar’s office has provided a structured process for eligible students who believe they qualify for admission but were not included in the initial selection.
The appeal opportunity is specifically designed for students who applied under the private scheme and meet certain eligibility criteria.
According to the university’s guidelines, applicants must have originally applied for admission under the private scheme and paid the required application fee of UGX 50,000.
Additionally, candidates must demonstrate that they meet the cut-off points for the programs they applied for.
The appeal process requires applicants to submit specific documentation to support their case.
Students must print out their original application form and attach photocopies of both their O-Level and A-Level results. A payment slip proving payment of the application fee must also be included in the submission package.
All appeal applications must be submitted to Office 303 in the Senate Building on the third level of Makerere University’s main campus.
The university has set a strict deadline of Friday, 11th July, 2025, for all appeal submissions, giving eligible students approximately one week to compile and submit their documentation.
