The Makerere University Endowment Fund has announced a call for business applications from entrepreneurs interested in providing services during the institution’s historic 75th graduation ceremony, scheduled to take place from January 22nd to 26th, 2025.
Prospective business operators have until January 10th 2025, at 5:00 PM East African Time to submit their applications.
The ceremony, which traditionally spans five days, will see thousands of graduates receive their degrees across various colleges and faculties of the university.
Interested entrepreneurs are required to submit comprehensive expressions of interest detailing their proposed services, relevant experience, space requirements, staffing plans, and equipment to be used during the week-long ceremony.
Applications must be accompanied by a photocopy of the applicant’s national ID and a passport photograph.
The Endowment Fund emphasizes that only physical applications will be considered, which must be submitted at the Souvenir Shop located at Frank Kalimuzo CTF, Ground Floor.
Business opportunities during the five-day ceremony typically include photography, catering, merchandise sales, and other graduation-related services.
