Campus Bee has reliably established that the Public Relations Officer at Makerere University, Dr Muhammad Kiggundu has resigned from his office.
This comes a year after he was appointed to the position, after serving as the Chairman of the Makerere University Academic Staff Association (MUASA).
For reasons not clear, Dr Kiggundu requested the University Administration not to renew his contract after expiry, Campus Bee has established.
Dr Kiggundu spoke out on this development saying he resigned as a move to pave way for other people to take over the office.
This Humanities and Language lecturer exressed gratitude having had the office at a time when the University really needed him and is leaving in calm.
Dr Kiggundu lauded the University management for giving the chance to serve as manager in the big office he is officially leaving.
