In a letter written by Prof. Barnabus Nawangwe, the Makerere University Vice Chancellor, to the student fraternity through the Guild President, Nawangwe has intimated that the long standing university policy requiring every student to pay full tuition before sitting examinations has been deferred and relaxed.
Prof Nawangwe has cited the challenges related to the implementation of the new student management system (ACMIS) which necessitated migration of student data from the old system (AIMS) to the new one (ACMIS).
Students have however been enjoined to engage their college registrars to have all their ACMIS portal related challenges ironed out and to ensure that they make full tuition payment before the end of the examination period.
