Makerere University has released the academic program for the academic year 2016/2017 that will be followed by the first years and the continuing students and those set to graduate. The program was released yesterday on the Makerere University official website.

Fresher’s Orientation Saturday: 6th August 2016 to Friday: 12th August 2016 (7 days )
Semester One: Saturday: 13th August 2016 to Saturday 10th December 2016 (17 weeks)
Semester One Holiday Break: Saturday: 10th December 2016 to Friday 20th January 2017 (6 weeks)
Semester Two: Saturday: 21st January 2017 to Saturday 20th May 2017 (17 weeks )
Recess Term Saturday: 27th May 2017 to Saturday : 5th August 2017 (10 weeks )
67th Graduation Week: Monday: 16th January 2017 to Friday 20th January 2017
