The Directorate of Graduate Training (DGT) at Makerere University has officially released the admission lists for postgraduate applicants accepted into various programs for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The comprehensive list features successful candidates admitted into Postgraduate Diploma, Master’s, and PhD programmes across the university’s colleges.
In a statement issued by the DGT, the university confirmed that the admission exercise was completed following a rigorous selection process based on academic merit, programme capacity, and institutional guidelines.
“We congratulate all the applicants who have secured admission to pursue further studies at Makerere University. The graduate training office is committed to supporting your academic journey,” the statement read in part.
The released admission lists are categorised according to the respective colleges, including:
- College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences
- College of Education and External Studies
- College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology
- College of Health Sciences
- College of Humanities and Social Sciences
- College of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Resources & Bio-security
- Institute of Gender and Development

The Directorate urged admitted students to regularly check the Makerere University website and official communications channels for updates regarding registration, tuition payment schedules, and orientation activities.
Students are expected to complete all registration processes before the start of the first semester in August 2025.
