Makerere University has provisionally admitted 95 diploma holders to its Bachelor of Education (External) Degree Programme under Private Sponsorship for the 2025/2026 academic year.
The comprehensive admission list released by the Office of the Academic Registrar features candidates from across Uganda who hold education diplomas, with the majority being graduates from Kyambogo University.
The external programme is designed to accommodate working teachers and education professionals who cannot pursue full-time studies but seek to upgrade their qualifications through flexible learning arrangements.
The admitted candidates demonstrate strong academic performance, with many having achieved distinction and credit classifications in their diploma studies spanning graduation years from 2000 to 2023.
The programme attracts students from diverse subject combinations including English and Literature, Mathematics and Sciences, Agriculture, Art and Design, Music, and Leadership Studies.
The university emphasized that all admissions remain provisional pending verification of academic documents by the respective awarding institutions.
