Makerere University Academic Registrar Prof. Alfred Masikye Namoah has released government sponsorship admission lists for students admitted on District Quota, Diploma Holders, Disability scheme and talented sports persons.
Successful persons under the above categories are admitted to public universities across the country. Among others include; Makerere University, Makerere University Business School, Gulu University and Kyambogo University.
According to the lists, this year’s admissions had fewer number of students compared to the previous years.
The applications were limited to students who sat for A’ level in 2018, 2019 and 2020 only.
On the Disability scheme, 25 persons with motor impairment, visual impairment, hearing or speech impairment and chronic health problems were considered.
Six talented sports persons were on the same note admitted in both humanities and science programmes. However, out of the six admitted, only two students are admitted in science programmes.
