Makerere University Academic Registrar, Alfred Masikye Namoah has released the university’s semester schedule ahead of planned reopening. The university plans to reopen for physical lectures on Monday, 1st November 2021.
According to a schedule released by Masikye that Campus Bee has secured, finalists and graduate students will report for physical lectures on 1st November until November 13th.
The schedule also indicates that freshers will study physically for four weeks from 1st to 27th November. Freshers will then switch to online lectures from 29th November to 24th December.
Meanwhile, second-year and other continuing students will be studying online from 1st to 27th November after which they will report for physical studies until December 24th .
From 3rd January to 15th January 2022, freshers and finalists will sit for exams.
The Makerere University reopening schedule has come days after a directive by the National Council for Higher Education was issued. The council ordered all higher learning institutions to submit their reopening schedule in a staggered manner.
