Makerere University Releases Semester Schedule Ahead of Reopening

Makerere University Academic Registrar, Alfred Masikye Namoah has released the university’s semester schedule ahead of planned reopening. The university plans to reopen for physical lectures on Monday, 1^st November 2021.

According to a schedule released by Masikye that Campus Bee has secured, finalists and graduate students will report for physical lectures on 1^st November until November 13^th.

The schedule also indicates that freshers will study physically for four weeks from 1^st to 27^th November. Freshers will then switch to online lectures from 29^th November to 24^th December.

Meanwhile, second-year and other continuing students will be studying online from 1^st to 27^th November after which they will report for physical studies until December 24^th .

From 3^rd January to 15th January 2022, freshers and finalists will sit for exams.

The Makerere University reopening schedule has come days after a directive by the National Council for Higher Education was issued. The council ordered all higher learning institutions to submit their reopening schedule in a staggered manner.
