Makerere University has announced a revised schedule for its 75th graduation ceremony, set to take place from January 13th to January 17th, 2025.
The ceremony will see thousands of students from various colleges and schools within the university receiving their hard-earned degrees and diplomas.
According to the newly released schedule, the graduation ceremony will be held over the course of five days, with each day dedicated to a specific college or school.
Unlike the previous years, Makerere University Business School (MUBS) has been allocated two days in the week-long ceremony.
The schedule begins on Monday, January 13th, with the College of Education and External Studies (CEES), the College of Computing and Information Sciences (CoCI), the College of Veterinary Medicine, Animal Resources and Bio-Security (CoVAB), and the School of Law (SoL).
Tuesday, January 14th, will witness the graduation of students from the College of Natural Sciences (CoNAS), the College of Health Sciences (CHS), and the College of Business and Management Sciences (CoBAMS).
On Wednesday, January 15th, the ceremony will focus on the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CAES), the College of Engineering, Design, Art and Technology (CEDAT), and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHUSS).
Thursday, January 16th, will be dedicated to MUBS, with graduands from the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research, the Faculty of Business Administration, the Faculty of Tourism, Hospitality and Languages, and the Faculty of Marketing and International Business receiving their degrees.
The 75th graduation ceremony will conclude on Friday, January 17th, with MUBS hosting the graduation of students from the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research, the Faculty of Computing and Informatics, the Faculty of Management, the Faculty of Commerce, and the Faculty of Procurement and Logistics Management.
This new format is expected to provide a more organized and streamlined experience for the graduands.
