Makerere University Revises Academic Calendar, Exams Brought Closer

Makerere University commenced the 2023/2024 academic year on 19th August, 2023 when freshers started reporting.

As the students resume studies at the great hill, the Office of the Academic Registrar has notified them of a few changes regarding the academic calendar.

According to the initial programme, end of semester examinations were slated to start on 11th December, 2023 but this will not be the case as the freshly released programme indicates 4th December, 2023 as the start date.

This implies a deduction in study time to a week short of the preliminary timeframe.

Important to note is that other activities like semester holidays, graduation dates and recess term have not been adjusted.
