Prof. Alfred Masikye Namoah, the Academic Registrar of Makerere University has announced dates for pre-entry examination to Bachelor of Laws 2022/2023 which is slated for Saturday, August 20, 2022.
According to the official document from the Academic Registrar, to be eligible for this examination, applicants must posses the following university requirements;
For A’ level levers, they must have an ‘O’ level certificate (UCE) or Its equivalent with at least five passes plus A’ level certificate (UACE) or its equivalent and having obtained a minimum of 13 points for males, and 12 points (Females).
For those applicants who sat ‘A’ level before 2013, should have obtained 15 and 14 points for males and females respectively.
The document also states that Diploma holders must have acquired a second class or credit Diploma from a recognized Institution.
The Mature Age applicants however, must have passed the Makerere University Mature Age Entry examination for Bachelor of Laws for either December 2019 or October 2021.
The Degree holders on the same note, must be graduates in any discipline from a chartered university. And copies of Degree transcripts must be attached to the application form.
Prof Masikye said that the Degree holders are not eligible for Government sponsorship.
Application forms for those who wish to sit for the pre-admission examination can be obtained at the university, Room 505, Senate building after making a payment of a non-refundable fee of shs. 110,000.
The payment can be made in any Stanbic Bank branch, DFCU, Post bank, UBA and Centenary Banks after getting a Payment Registration Number (PRN).
The deadline for submitting the completed application forms is Friday, July 29, 2022.
To be admitted at Makerere University for a Bachelor of Laws, the applicant must have sat and passed the pre-entry examination.
