Sad news reaching us from the hill of Makerere indicate that a student passed on this morning while asleep.
Mulindwa Joseph, a third year student who was pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Economics and resident of Waveney Hostel died in sleep earlier this morning after he woke up at around 3am to visit the washrooms and later went back to bed, until 6am when his alarm started ringing but wasn’t responding to it.
This prompted the roommate to tap him but Mulindwa wasn’t responding. He was early in the morning rushed to the university hospital which referred him to Norvik hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Ayella, the brother to the deceased confirmed that Mulindwa has passed on but under unknown circumstances and a postmortem was going to be carried out to ascertain the cause of death.
He also said the burial arrangements will be communicated as soon possible.
