Makerere University fraternity is in utter grief following the news of the demise of one of its student.

A one Edna Musiime, a student of Geology at the College of Natural Sciences was reported dead having been killed by rustlers in Moroto district.

Musiime, who was doing her internship, was attacked together with her colleagues sparing not the life of any of them except an interpreter.

Edna Musiime was attacked by rustlers while conducting mineral mapping in Lokisilei village, Moroto.

Brigadier Joseph Balikuddembe a UPDF 3rd division commander said only the translator managed to escape since he knew the area quite well.

“The translator managed to flee to his safety but the geologists being new on the ground had no option but to accept to be killed in cold blood.” Brig Joseph said.

Edna Musiime together with her other two colleagues, in accompaniment of two UPDF soldiers, lost their lives to a rustlers’ attack one of those so common in the region.

May her and her colleagues’ souls rest in peace.
