Makerere University students have this morning been engaged in chase battles and physical fights with the Anti-riot Police’ and consequently three have been arrested for demonstrating in the heart of the city demanding the release of Dr Kizza Besigye.
Police in Kampala has arrested 3 MAK students who were protesting at the Constitutional Square demanding for the release of former FDC presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye. The group that was led by a one Robinson Wabulembo was whisked away to the Central Police Station after they raided the constitutional square dressed in their ‘wewe’ red academic gowns.
The trio that had started attracting a crowd and attention were quickly intercepted by police and taken in at the Central police Station. ‘We want change; Release Besigye the elected President of Uganda.” is what the students shouted and chanted in the midst of the people.
“They are still being held at the Central Police Station and will be questioned for their actions,” a police officer told this website.
The arrested include GRC School of Education Wanyera Simon, Nkrumah Chairman Asiimwe Emmanuel and Wabulembo Robin
