Makerere University has granted students a two-weeks holiday ahead of closure of the first semester for academic year 2021/2022.
According to the letter issued by the Dean of Students Ms Winfred Kabumbuli, on Monday, all students residing in halls of residence are asked to vacate them by Thursday May 19 mid-day.
“Semester one will end on Wednesday 18, 2022. All students are expected to vacate the halls of residence Thursday 19 by mid-day,” the letter read in part.
Apparently, the second semester will commence May 30 and run up to September 4.
“Semester II 2021/2022 will begin May 30 and end September 4, 2022,” the letter added.
