Makerere University Vice-Chancellor Prof Barnabas Nawangwe has revealed to the press how management is poised to convene next month and approve the graduation list for the forthcoming 72nd graduation ceremony.
Last week, the Academic Registrar’s department of Makerere University led by Mr. Alfred Masikye Namoah released a roadmap for this year’s graduation ceremony.
The released program was aimed at guiding the teaching staff at the university to adhere to the set dates to ensure that the graduation ceremony takes place on the dates which were earlier communicated.
The department set the third week (23rd-27th) of May 2022 to be the graduation week where students from different colleges will be allocated to specific dates.
Prof Barnabas Nawangwe has henceforth intimated that the University management will sit mid-next month to approve the graduation list. The Prof adds that the results of students are currently being uploaded on the new system ahead of the approval.
Over 14,000 students are slated to graduate from the nation’s prestigious institution with awards from various disciplines.
