Makerere University has organized a national thanks giving prayers ahead of Centenary celebrations slated for October 2022.
According to the information from the institution’s Facebook page, the prayers will be held at the Freedom Square on Friday (tomorrow) starting at 8:00am to 12:00pm under the theme, ‘Thus far the Lord brought us.’
“Tomorrow, we gather at the Freedom Square to hold, National Thanksgiving Inter-Religious prayers,” the post read.

This comes ahead of the University through the Dean of Students Ms. Winfred Kabumbuli warning a student for organizing Inter-religious prayers last week on August 26, 2022.
The student was asked to write an apology letter to the Vice Chancellor for violating the University rules and regulations.
