Professor Barnabas Nawangwe has hinted about Makerere University’s prospect of introducing a new compulsory course.
Vice Chancellor Nawangwe revealed that Makerere University is in the process of drafting a course on mindset education.
The mindset education course, according to him, will have to be undertaken by all students that will enroll into Makerere in the future.
“We are drafting a course on mindset education that all students will have to take,” Professor Nawangwe said.
This he revealed while speaking at the 9th annual conference on economic social and cultural rights held at Makerere University on August 3rd, 2022.
However, Professor Barnabas Nawangwe didn’t state when this new compulsory course was to start.
Professor Barnabas Nawangwe also applauded Makerere law school for having organized the financial conference.
The 9th annual conference on economic social and cultural rights was part of the series of conferences of Makerere at 100.
Makerere University will celebrate 100 years of existence in October 2022, and this new compulsory course is expected to change the societal mindset of many.
