Makerere University Government Sponsored Students Association (MUGOSA) has had it’s new executive members sworn in, shedding off the former leadership.
The new leadership that was sworn in on Saturday April 2nd, 2022 at the university’s guest house conference hall will be headed by Omaria Emma who replaces the popular Waidembe Yusuf Musomesa alias ‘concerned student’.
Waidembe Yusuf (MUGOSA president emeritus), who as well serves as the president Uganda Government Sponsored Students Association, urged the new leadership to understand the MUGOSA constitution and distance itself from internal wrangles.
“Differentiate insults from arguments, when you reach a point of contradiction, inbox the person (with whom you disagree). Read the constitution and have an informed argument.” Yusuf advised.
Mr Alfred Buluma, the patron MUGOSA told the new cabinet to be ready to offer free services and where need be, to be ready to use their individual funds for the good of the association.
MUGOSA is a joint student body for government sponsored students at Makerere University. The association is popular for the role it plays to ensure government sponsored students get their allowances in time.
