Students of Makerere University are set for the selection of a flag bearer for its popular Uganda Young Democrats (UYD) today Monday 13th. UYD happens to be a political youth wing of the popular political party Democratic Party (DP). This will be one of those events set to happen as they warm up for the forthcoming Makerere University guild elections.
The fight for this position has so far been applied for by three candidates who will be voted in the evening to choose one. Before the elections, candidates will hold a debate aimed at revealing one’s manifesto to the potential voters.
The candidates in this race include Ssambwa G.K Timothy who is in his third year pursuing law, Lakisa Mary who is doing Dental and surgery (third year) and William Karamagi who has been the party’s speaker.
