Makerere University has instructed all lecturers to ensure all students’ results for the previous semester are uploaded without further delay.
The academic registrar Prof. Buyinza Mukadasi, in his letter dated August 14th, has directed all lecturers to upload students’ results for semester two academic year 2022/23 by August 18th (four days from the issuance of the directive).
Prof. Buyinza says that management in its August 14th seating noted that some lecturers had not uploaded students’ results. He has, therefore, directed all lecturers to upload results by Friday.
“Management, after due deliberation, resolved that all examination results for semester two academic year 2022/23, should immediately be uploaded on ACMIS and displayed on the college notice boards on or before Friday 18th August 2023,” the letter reads in part.
Prof. Buyinza has also directed college principals to report all lecturers that will not have uploaded results by the given date to the deputy vice chancellor academic affairs.
“Management further requested all college principals to submit to the deputy vice chancellor (academic affairs) lists of academic staff who have not displayed and uploaded their results by Friday,” the letter reads.
Some colleges at Makerere University have already displayed results for the previous semester and others are yet to.
However, some lecturers have turned delaying to upload students’ results habitual. Makerere University will open for the new academic year on August 19th with Freshers reporting first and continuing students a week later.
