Makerere University students and leaders spent the better half of their Saturday doing a community clean up exercise in Makerere Kikoni.
The exercise which was organised by the 89th leader of opposition Mukwaya Muhammadi, who also doubles as the president Douglas Villa Hostel, was conducted on September 30th.

The activity saw students clean various areas around Kikoni especially those in close proximity to hostels where students reside.
Mukwaya thanked students for turning up for the activity and urges them to promote good hygiene in their respective communities.
The clean up was held under the theme: embracing our societal responsibility of environmental preservation.

The activity was graced by Ayebare Resty Tuta (Miss Popularity, Tourism), Ampeire Pauline (Miss Tourism Kigezi Region) and other tourism queens.
The clean up was organised in partnership with Bin it services limited, Tukuuma, DM Climate View and Badilisha, a political grooming forum for young leaders.
