The Vice Chancellor of Makerere University has summoned an unknown number of Nkrumah Hall student leaders over the news of participation of freshers in what is known as the “Naked Mile” in the university.
The hall leaders have been tasked to explain to Prof Nawangwe, in letters, why they took part in what is according to him a very indecent activity of running around the university nude.
It is alleged that on the 19th of August, freshers residing in Nkrumah Hall undertook a late night activity of jogging around the university in boxers, what they fondly call the “Naked Mile”.
After banning hall activities of jogging that involve freshers by the Dean of Students, the university has gone ahead to summon the hall leaders to explain their involvement in the said activity.
