Makerere is the most web searched university in Uganda- Research

Makerere University has dropped six places from fourth to the tenth best university in Africa in the Webometrics rankings. Shockingly, Makerere University is the only Ugandan varsity that is ranked in the top 100 universities in the continent. So where is Kyambogo, Uganda Christian University, Mubs, Kiu, Must and the like?! Not even in the top 100, this is absurd!

How Varsities are ranked

The Ranking Web or Webometrics is the largest academic ranking of Higher Education Institutions. The rankings are carried out every six months performed by the Cybermetrics Lab (Spanish National Research Council, CSIC). These rankings seek to give reliable, multidimensional, updated and useful information about the performance of universities from all over the world based on their web presence and impact.
