Makerere University will be commemorating one hundred years of existence this October. The year-long celebrations kickstarted already with the ‘Homecoming Dinner’ next in line.
The organizing committee in charge of the eminent event announced a change in the celebrations’ activity; the Homecoming Dinner from 16th June to July 17, 2022.
“The Homecoming Dinner will be hosted on Friday, 22nd July 2022. We invite all who have gone through the gates of Makerere to come home and dine with us as we celebrate,” the university communicated yesterday through a tweet .
The Dinner will be hosted at Makerere University’s renown Freedom Square.
The Mak@100 Homecoming Dinner is organised jointly by Mak@100 Secretariat and the current student Guild leadership. It presents an opportunity for the student body to involve the student community and extend the invitation to alumni to join the centenary celebrations.
The Dinner party is organised around the theme, “Through These Gates,” and it will celebrate the journey of all those who have gone through the gates of Makerere University.
The dinner celebration will host students, stakeholders, former student leaders, alumni, the top University Management, the University community and other guests.
