Henry Ssuubi Kiyimba, a second-year Mechanical Engineering student at Makerere University has finally decided to join politics. Ssuubi is remembered for carrying a metallic suitcase to Makerere University when he was reporting for his first day on campus, an act that made him a celebrity days after Campus Bee’s report.
Ssuubi is currently aspiring to become the next GRC – School of Engineering ahead of the long-awaited guild elections slated for 12th November 2021. Campus Bee understands that Ssuubi has already printed posters and is ready to kick off door-to-door campaigns.
The second-year Mechanical Engineering student has already secured the support of his coursemates with the slogan “Service With Integrity”.

According to the roadmap released by the university’s Electoral Commission, this year’s polls will also be blended in nature. Some students will be allowed to vote physically while others will vote remotely on their gadgets.
Earlier this year, Ssuubi joined Reliance Steel and Eco Group Factory as an employee following several months of sitting at home. One Jaffer A’ita Joel from Reliance Steel revealed that Ssuubi was tasked to come up with an invention of a machine that can solve problems for mankind.
