Male Members of Parliament have today afternoon sent fellow legislators into hestyrical laughter when they asked the Speaker of Parliament to avail them with the private number of Miss World Africa, Quiin Abenakyo.
Then legislators claim that the personal number is to ease their contact with Abenakyo “to help her with her projects”.
“Right Honourable Speaker, on behalf of most of the male MPs in this House who are underprivileged, they have suggested that they get a little bit familiar with her projects so that they can help the girl child. They [male MPs] have requested that through you [Madam Speaker] let Quiin Abenakyo give us her [phone] number so that we can help the girl child in our different constituencies,” Kigulu South MP Andrew Kaluya said as MPs burst into laughter.
He added, “Quiin Abenakyo is not only beautiful, but also very brilliant. She has very strong values especially when it comes to the girl child. It is through her that we can achieve milestones, we need to support her and the Miss Uganda foundation.”
Apparently, Busiro East MP Medard Ssegonna has also offered free legal advice to all projects that the 22-year-open fresh graduate of MUBS is working on.
