Reality TV sensation and entrepreneur Mamideb is no stranger to controversy, but her latest relationship advice has hit a nerve — and started a firestorm of conversation across social media.
In a new episode of her candid talk series Let’s Talk With Mamideb, the Kampala Creme star dropped a bombshell: don’t get married in your twenties. It never works out.
“If you are in your twenties, do not put yourself under any pressure to get married,” Mamideb said, flashing her signature sass and certainty. “That decade is for finding yourself, not tying yourself down.”
Mamideb, who is married to entrepreneur Michael Cleave, insists that early marriage is often a recipe for disaster. According to her, the twenties should be about education, travel, financial independence — and a whole lot of dating.
“Your twenties are for discovering who you are. And when you get into your thirties, that’s when you can focus on settling down,” she added. “I don’t know anyone who got married in their twenties and it worked out — unless they married an angel.”
The no-holds-barred comments have split the internet. Some fans are applauding her honesty and thanking her for saying what many are afraid to admit. Others accuse her of dismissing successful young couples and promoting “delayed commitment culture.”
But Mamideb isn’t backing down.
“You’re still growing, making mistakes, figuring out your path. You shouldn’t be committing to someone else when you’re not even sure who you are yet,” she said.
Whether you agree or not, Mamideb’s message is loud, clear, and unapologetically real — just like her.
