In what our snoops lacked exact words to term as, Makerere University students residing in the calm Livingstone hall spent the greater part of Heroes’ day contemplating whether to go to Africa hall to take a piss/shit or do away with it all together.
Residents of block J in the hall played host to one of the university’s commonest sights, a marabou stork.
The bird, which went straight to their washrooms was in perfect condition without a broken wing or leg and they couldnt comprehend why it decided to go there.
“The thing was there from about 8am till past midnight. It spent the whole night in the toilet”, narrated Richard, our source in the hall.
By press time, the bird was still there.
No one could tell how it made its way there or what attracted it to the toilets.
“Because of the influx of outsiders who mess up our toilets, block leaders have introduced a system of locking their places of convenience so as to keep them clean. We couldnt be sure the other blocks would be of help”, Richard lamented.
Marabou storks are common in Makerere, 4 out of 5 trees in the university play host to these birds which have made it an aim to litter the institution with chalk white excretion.
Among the weirdest places these birds have been seen in includes the law section in the university’s main library.
