Makerere University 86th Ministry of Gender, Ethics and Integrity in Partnership with the Counseling and Guidance Center Makerere University has rallied an online session on Mental Health Resilience during anomalous times. The virtual session will transpire this Friday, 13th of August.
The acute move is being spearheaded by the current Minister of Gender, Ethics and Integrity Ritah Asio who has been bothered by numerous reports of how students are struggling with psychological battles catalyzed by the lockdown.
Psychologists define resilience as the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats, or significant sources of stress—such as family and relationship problems, serious health problems, or workplace and financial stressors.
All the above are in one way or another affecting some students and this informative session will be with insights on how one can be mentally resilient.
