The Minister of Education and Sports, Hon Janet Kataha Museveni in her most recent address to the nation broadcast last night has revealed that the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) has formulated guidelines to be followed by universities for online learning.
Clarifying that the current pandemic situation is still deemed not safe for learners all across the country, Minister Kataha quashed allegations from a section of media that the Education Ministry prohibited online learning saying it would really be wicked for the ministry to be against such a positive move.
As before, the fate of the reopening of schools and universities still hangs in balance, and now, online learning has become the last option for higher institutions of learning to resume studies.
