Ayebare Restytuta, a student at Makerere University and former GRC Makerere games union, has emerged as the new miss popularity in the miss tourism Uganda pageant.
The miss tourism Uganda pageant opened voting for this year’s miss popularity weeks back and voting ended on September 8th with Restytuta emerging as the overall best.
Ayebare got a total of 88,223 votes and Kasemiire Whitney came second with 83,065 votes.
Emerging as miss popularity, Ayebare (by default) becomes one of the final five contestants for the miss tourism 2023 pageant. Ayebare will take on the crown from Sydney Nabulya who emerged as miss Popularity last year.
Last year, Nabulya took both crowns of miss popularity and miss tourism and Ayebare is looking forward to taking the same lane.
The Miss Tourism grand finale will be held on September 9th at Serena hotel and it is then that the new miss tourism queen will be crowned.
