The wait is over — the Miss Uganda 2025 finalists have officially been unveiled, and this year’s line-up promises beauty with brains, style with substance, and passion with purpose. Twenty-six young women from across the country are vying for the crown, each carrying with her a project aimed at sparking change in her community.
From tackling child trauma to empowering single mothers, to promoting menstrual hygiene and fighting stigma around HIV, the contestants are proving that Miss Uganda is more than just a beauty pageant — it’s a platform for impact.
Here’s a look at the young women who are set to shine on Uganda’s biggest stage:
Contestant 01: Zainab Ssentongo (23, Wakiso)
A traveler, swimmer and model at heart, Zainab looks up to Catrena Grey. She’s bringing charisma and confidence as she represents Wakiso district.

Contestant 02: Nabulo Stephanie Gloria (22, Bududa)
Modeling, dancing, and acting are her passions. Inspired by Brenda Nanyonjo, she’s championing Quality Education for the Girl Child.

Contestant 03: Abasa Shaluwah Nabatanzi (20, Kayunga Bugerere)
Full of energy and love for dance and song, Abasa is focusing on supporting single mothers and newborns.

Contestant 04: Bathsheba Gift Namugga (20, Masaka)
With her mother as her biggest role model, Bathsheba is raising awareness on mental health improvement in homes, communities, and schools.

Contestant 05: Ayikoru Cynthia (23, Arua)
A book lover and documentary fan, Cynthia admires Hon. Rebecca Kadaga. Her project: Raising Child Trauma Awareness.

Contestant 06: Noella Komujuni Ayebare (21, Mbarara)
Inspired by Malala Yousafzai, Noella is pushing for inclusivity through her Ability First project for persons with disabilities.

Contestant 07: Ratifah Sekyema (20, Buikwe)
Stylish, outspoken, and ambitious, Ratifah’s Pad Up a Girl initiative focuses on menstrual education and dignity for every girl.

Contestant 08: Nyiramugisha Ritah Bakunzi (22, Nakaseke)
Passionate about travel and family, Ritah is advocating for affordable vocational education to boost financial independence.

Contestant 09: Agatha Drakes Keine (24, Sembabule)
With Angela Davis as her inspiration, Agatha is using creative means to push for PCOS and reproductive health education.

Contestant 10: Joan Kankunda (24, Mbarara)
A dancer and writer, Joan is fighting for the environment through plastic waste management.

Contestant 11: Alobo Janet Patricia (24, Zombo)
She is spearheading the Pad a Girl Campaign, focusing on menstrual hygiene, reproductive health, and mental wellness.

Contestant 12: Akot Gillians Tracy (22, Kole)
Inspired by the late Cecilia Ogwal, Akot is promoting Girls’ education through menstrual hygiene campaigns.

Contestant 13: Akampulira Rebecca (21, Rukungiri)
With Oprah as her role model, Rebecca is addressing HIV stigma.

Contestant 14: Nelima Elizabeth Jemimah (24, Mpigi)
Her project Raising Kings encourages empowering boys to uplift girls.

Contestant 15: Ingrid Asasira (Wakiso)
Passionate about poetry, Ingrid is driving awareness on Fistula in maternal health.

Contestant 16: Jamirah Namubiru (21, Masaka)
Inspired by Halima Aden, Jamirah is focusing on fighting malnutrition.

Contestant 17: Naigaga Miriam Norah (26, Namutumba)
An entrepreneur at heart, Miriam is exploring skilling and agriculture for youth empowerment.

Contestant 18: Nalubega Aminah (24, Masaka)
Digital-savvy, Aminah is pushing for responsible social media use through her ‘Digital Confidence’ project.

Contestant 19: Kirabo Faith (24, Kabarole)
She is advocating for empowerment of abandoned and orphaned teenagers.

Contestant 20: Muhoza Trivia Elle (22, Bukomasimbi)
Her focus is on empowering single mothers, especially survivors of domestic violence.

Contestant 21: Yvonne Nabukeera (23, Jinja)
Yvonne’s mission: Cancer Awareness.

Contestant 22: Gillian Ampaire (22, Kiruhura)
Her Hope for the Slums initiative aims to uplift youth in slum communities.
