Mityana Institute Fines Student UGX 2M for Eating Four Sugarcanes

Mityana Institute of Nursing and Midwifery has suspended a student named Sezi Albert for reportedly eating four sugarcanes.

According to a letter sent by the Principal, Nakyeya Florence, Sezi’s parents are informed to show up with their child as well as a fine worth UGX 2,000,000. The letter further directs Sezi and parents to report back to the institute this Friday, May 24 without fail.

Running under a curriculum provided by the Ministry of Education and Sports, Mityana Institute of Nursing and Midwifery offers both Certificates in Nursing and Midwifery.

The school has two semesters each academic year and it takes only two and a half years for students to complete their course either in Midwifery or Nursing.
