Mixed Reactions As Mak, MUBS Release Private Admissions List

Makerere University and Makerere University Business School (MUBS) released private admissions lists for the academic year 2023/24 on Wednesday, stirring up applicants.

The released lists have been welcomed with open hands by the successful applicants whereas the not so lucky have been left with furrowed brows.

‘Tugoingewa’ is one word that will remain on the lips of those that have not made it on the list for at least the next one or two months.

Netizens are always quick to advise and they have already told the unsuccessfully applicants to try elsewhere as Makerere is not the only university there is.

Many applicants that fail to make it to Makerere University often apply elsewhere and are reported to claim that Makerere was not their priority.

Some have been advised to date their colleagues that have been admitted in order to regain their bragging rights.

According to communication from the office of the academic registrar Makerere University, those that didn’t make it to the list but have the required cutoff points can appeal for reconsideration.
