Ruhweza Abbu aged 23, a Student of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in Year 2 has been elected as a new Guild President. Mr. Ruhweza (Independent) emerged as a winner defeating his main opponent also on NRM ticket with a margin of 89 votes.
He takes over from Muhumuza Ronnie popularly known on campus as Ssevo, who has been one of the most active Guild President the University has ever had.
In His Speech after his elections, Mr. Ruhweza thanked all his voters for having trust in him and promised to move the University to greater heights.
He added that his term will be a student focused one and he will mainly focus on; 1.Student Welfare
2.Quality education and
3. Environment conservation.
