According to a statement released by Akiteng Olivia the information and public relations minister for Makerere Business School, the ongoing strike by Makerere University non-teaching staff is the reason why MUBS admission letters will delay for about two weeks from now.
Akiteng also added that the fees structures for the MUBS first year students (freshers) will not be available until one week elapses but she did not specify on fees structures delay but rather seeks for patience from the affected. Her brief statement comes following a strike involving the non-teaching staff at MUBS’ sister institution Makerere University where most of the documents are processed.
This delay in the availability of admission letters and fees structures is likely to affect the rate at which new will students join the Nakawa based institution since those are the major criteria most parents base on to decide whether they will post their children at any institute or not.
