Makerere University Business School (MUBS) has unveiled plans to introduce a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy program.
The decision was announced during a high-level stakeholders meeting held yesterday at MUBS.
The new program is poised to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of international relations and diplomacy, with a strong emphasis on practical training and interdisciplinary coursework.
By aligning the curriculum with global development goals, MUBS aims to equip graduates with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the complexities of the international arena.
The Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy program will offer students the opportunity to explore a diverse range of topics, including international law, conflict resolution, global governance, and diplomatic protocols.
MUBS’ decision to introduce this program was announced through the official X handle, today, April 18, 2024.
Through interactive learning experiences and real-world case studies, students are expected to develop critical thinking, communication, and negotiation skills essential for success in diplomatic and international affairs.
MUBS is to undertake further stages to have the course introduced in the forthcoming academic years. However, a timeline has not been disclosed yet.
